This is a photo of a drum that represents the kind of djembes I get from Guinea, West Africa via WULA Drum, a relatively new company founded by Michael Markus and Tom Kondis. Know that when you buy a WULA drum, that the money you pay goes into paying carvers by the hour, which, in a place like Guinea is rare (usually drum carvers are paid per drum). So, carvers take time to make these drums the best djembe's that I have ever seen (no b*llsh*t!). In getting a WULA drum, you are helping Africans earn a steady living - which is also very, very rare in Guinea.
My stock turns over a lot in a short period of time, so the drum pictured may not look exactly likes the ones I have in stock. I have never seen any flaws in the wood, skin, rope, rings in WULA drums - they are amazing. This particular drum is made from Doukie wood. I am so confident in my drums that I offer an open exchange policy where, if you are unsatisfied with your drum, you can exchange it at any time for another drum. I will not be able to pay for shipping on exchanges.
Regarding shipping: my prices online DO NOT INCLUDE SHIPPING - I can get you the best price I can find for shipping (I usually use UPS), which I will ask you to add onto the price of the djembe using the "Misc Item" in my online store.
